Tunes, harmonies & fiddling techniques.
A one day workshop for all violin/fiddle players who want to learn new tunes from England and Europe and a great opportunity to meet other fiddle players.
The day will end with an informal session, so bring a favourite tune of your own to play (optional!)
Open to fiddlers of all ages
Standard = intermediate/advanced
i.e. can confidently hold a tune
Tunes will be learnt by ear though sheet music will be provided.

ADULT FIDDLE SCHOOL
This runs on wednesday evenings 7.30 - 9pm
There are limited places for these ongoing sessions.
If you are interested in joining please contact Laura.
These sessions are intended to increase & develop repertoire and fiddling techniques.

All tunes are taught by ear & sheet music is provided for practice. Group learning is a fantastic way to gain experience in playing with others in a non-stressful environment. It will enhance your playing skills, build confidence and is fun too!

Tutor details:
Laura Cannell is a professional performer based in Norfolk, she plays fiddle & recorder and studied performance at London College of Music (1st Class honours) and returned to Norfolk to study for her masters at the UEA. She performs widely with the ground-breaking instrumental duo Horses Brawl who recently performed live on BBC Radio 3 and is the founder of Norwich Fiddle School, which has released it's first cd of traditional fiddle tunes from the British Isles & beyond. Laura has several years teaching experience and recently led a day of workshops at the Royal Academy of Music.
